In a circle with centre o radius, is 34 cm, l (OM) =30 cm then find l (AB).​

since we know that AM and BM are equal

(PERPENDICULAR FROM THE CENTRE BISECTS THE CHORD)

and given,

OM=30 cm

OB=34 cm (since it's radius of circle)

By Pythagorean formula,

OM^2+BM^2=OB^2

30^2+MB^2=34^2

MB^2=1156-900

=256

MB=16 cm

AB=MB+AM

=2MB

=2×16=32cm
