In a circle with radius 13 cm, two equal chords are at a distance of 5 cm from the centre
Find the lengths of the chords.​

Answer:

chords are perpendicular (thrm)

Radius square = distance from centre ka square + half of the chord ka square

13 square = 5 square + half of the chord ka square

169-25 = half of the chord ka square

half of the chord ka square = 12

chord = 2 x half of the chord ka square

= 2 x 12

= 24cm
