If the second wire is conmected in parallel as in case (i)[ref. pic]; The current in ammeter will not change.
But if it is connected as in case (ii) [ref. pic.]; The current in ammeter will become 1/2(provided the second wire is of the same length,crosssection&material as the first one used)
