in a circuit R1=10 ohm r2=40ohm r3= 30 ohm r4= 20ohm and r5 = 60 ohm are connected in parallel with a 12 volt battery. calculate the total resistance and the total current flowing in the circuit ​

Answer:

 \frac{1}{r1} +  \frac{1}{r2}    =  \frac{1}{10}   +  \frac{1}{40}   =  \frac{4 + r}{40}  =  \frac{1}{8}  \\

 \frac{1}{r3} +  \frac{1}{r4}   +  \frac{1}{r5}  =  \frac{1}{30}  +  \frac{1}{20}  +  \frac{1}{60}  \\

Total  \: Resistance = 8  \:  watt

r_1 + r_2 \\ 8 + 10 \\  = 18 \: watt
