in a circular track of distance 400 m an athlete runs the 1/2 of the ground. So what would be the displacement?

Total length of the circular track = 400m

Athlete runs half of the ground i.e, X to Y in the above figure.

Circumference of a circle = 2πr

400 = 2πr

r = 200/π

r = 63.6

Displacement = diameter of circle = XY

= 2r

= 127.3 m

Therefore, displacement = 127.3 m
