Let x be the total number of population

  • then according to the problem,

\huge\impliesp(bus)=50% of x=x/2

\huge\impliesp(car n bus)=10% of x=x/10

  • p(car U bus)=p(car)+p(bus)-p(car n bus) p(car U bus)

=x/5 + x/2 - x/10=3x/5 persons ans.

  • if x(population)=100

Then persons travelling by car or bus will be 60 persons.
