Suppose total  number of people = 100

Poor people = 60% of 100 = 60

Rich people = 100 - 60 = 40            (or 100%-60%)*100 = 40

Illiterate people = 40% of 100 =  40

Among rich, 10% are illiterate = 10% of 40  (40 is number of rick people)

= 4

Number of the illiterate poor population = 40−4 = 36 = 40−4 = 36.

Therefore; illiterate poor =36

% of illiterate population which is poor =  36/60 =   60%

Answer is  60%

Suppose there are 100 people in a city.

Therefore, 60%=60 are poor and

100-60=40%=40 are rich.

As 10%are illiterate among the rich,

10%of40=4.-------a

So,  illiterate people among poor=40-4=36.

Therefore,

36=x%of poor people.

So,  36=60% of poor people.

Therefore answer =60%
