25% doesnt read so 100 - 25 = 75 % read newspapers

now 75 - 50 = 25% read newspaper A only

75 - 45 = 30 % read B only

75 - (25 + 30) = 75 - 55 = 20% read both

20% read both

let x be the total population

20% of x = 400

x = 40000/20

x = 2000 is the total population
