are girls and rest are boys. If 2/9
of the girls and 1/4 of the boys
are absent. What part of the total number of students are presents?​

So, 2x/5 - 1/4(2x/5) boys are present

= 3x/10 boys are present

Total number of students present =total number of girls present + total number of boys present

= 3x/10+ 7x/15=23x/30 are present in total
