Answer:

84+21+ 45= 150

Step-by-step explanation:

Let , the total number of students in the class be x

Given,

The no. of students who got 60% marks = 84 The no. of students who got less than 60% is 1/4 of 84 =21

Percentage of students who got more than 60% =30%

If the percentage of students who got more than 60% is 30% , then the rest of the students will be 70% of the total number of students in the class.

Therefore,

84+21 = 70% of x

105 = 70/100 of x

105×100/70 = x

10500÷70 =x

150 =x

We can justify it ,

If the total number of students in the class is 150, then the no. of students who got more than 60% = 30÷100×150

= 4500÷100

= 45

If we add all the no.s of students

= 84+21+45

=105+45

=150

Hence , the total number of students in the class is 150 .
