In a class, 40% students failed in paper I, 50% in paper II, and 10% passed both the papers. If each student of the class appeared for at least one of the two papers, then what percentage of students passed in only paper I?

So in test 1 40 percent of student failed and in second 50 percent.

40 +50 /2=45

so correct answer is 45 percent

The answer is C) 50% i think so.

No. of students passed in paper 1 and 2= 10%

No. of students failed in paper 1= 40%

No. of students passed in only paper 1=100%-40%-10%=50%
