Answer:

The number of students is 8

Steps:

As per the question the no. of students is equal to the number of rupees they have to pay..

Number of students is x

This means that :-

No. of students = Amount in Rs

x = x

And

x × x = 64

x^2 =64

x=√64

x=8

Answer:

There are 80 students in the class

Step-by-step explanation:

Let there be 'x' students in the class.

Given that each student contributes as many paise as there are number of students.

=> Each student contributes 'x' paise

Given that the total collection = Rs. 64

We know that Rs. 1 = 100 p

=> Rs. 64 = 6400 p

Total amount = No. of students * Contribution of 1 student

6400 = x * x

=> 6400 = x²

=> x = √6400

=> x = 80

Therefore, there are 80 students in the class and each student contributes 80 paise
