Let A={Students failing in History}
B={Students failing in Geography}
Therefore,
n(A)=6 , n(B)=3 and n(A ∧ B)=2   (Using ∧ as Intersection whose symbol actually is an inverted U).
Therefore,n(A-B)=6-2=4
n(B-A)=3-2=1
Therefore , students passing in both=10-4-1-2
=3
Ans:3 students passed in both.
