Totally 100 students
Only 2 subjects(math&eng)
5 students failed in both the subs,
Then, 100-5=95 students passed in both the subjects

Students passed in both subjects 95.

Solution:

Total number of students in class = 100 students.

Number of students passed in mathematics = 50 students

Number of students that failed in mathematics = 50 students

Number of students passed in English = 70 students

Number of students failed in English = 30 students

Number of students failed in both mathematics and English is 5

Number of students passed in either maths or English =  100 – 5 = 95

Number of students failed in either subjects = 50 + 30 = 80

Total number of students who failed = 80 – 5 = 75

Therefore, the number of students passed = 100 – 75 = 25.
