Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Total number of students = 128.

Let the number of person passed in math is n(a)=100 so number of person failed in maths = 128 - 100 = 28.

Let number of students passed in physics is n(b) = 96. So, number of students failed in physics 128 - 96= 32.

Let number of students passed in chemistry is n(c) = 99. So, number of students failed in chemistry 128 - 99= 29.

Let number of students passed in biology is n(d) = 90. So, number of students failed in biology 128 - 90= 38.

Hence, failed candidates in subjects = 28 + 32 + 29 + 38 = 127 . So passing must be 127 - 40 = 87.

So, maximum failed in all 4 subject is 128 - 87 = 41.
