In a class of 180 where girls are twice the number of boys Rupesh (a boy) ranked 34th from the top if there are 18 girls ahead of Rupesh how many boys are after him in rank

Therefore let the number of boys be in class is x.

 So, the number of girls = 2x

Therefore total number of students are:

   2x+x=180

    3x=180

     x= 60

So, number of boys= 60.

Number of girls = 2*60.

               = 120.

Now, according to the given problem Rupesh ranked 34th from the top, and 18 girls are ahead of him.

Therefore 33-18= 15 [Number of boy students who are ahead of Rupesh in ranking]

If 15 boys are already ahead Rupesh, then 59-15= 44 boys are behind Rupesh in the class. [Not considering Rupesh]
