Given :-

Total No. of students 20

Girls are 12

Boys = 20-12 =8

We have to find the probability of boy

We have :-

Favourable= 8

Total = 20

P(Boy)= Favourable/Total possible outcome

P(Boy)= 8/20

P(boy)=2/5

Answer :- 2/5

Answer : 2/5 ✔✔

Solution :

Given that :

The number of students = 20

Number of girls = 12

Then, number of boys = 20 - 12 = 8

To find :

Probability to chose a student that is a boy

Now, As we know that :

Probability = Number of favourable incident/Number of total incidents

Here, No. of favourable incidents = 8 and

No. of total incidents = 20

So, Probability to chose a boy = 8/20 = 2/5

I hope it will help you ☺
