in a class of 21 students the ratio of girl to boys is 4:3 how many girls are there in the class

Total number of students= 21

Let the ratio be 4x and 3x

21= 4x + 3x

21= 7x

21/7= x

3= x

So, the number of girls= 3*4 = 12
