then x+(2/5)x=35
(7/5)x=35
x=25


so number of boys in that class=25
ant number of girls in that class equal two fifth of 25

Then the number of girls is two-fifths of the number of boys = 2/5 * x.

Given that total number of students in the class = 35.

x + 2/5 * x = 35

x + 2x/5 = 35

5x + 2x = 35 * 5

5x + 2x = 175

7x = 175

x = 175/7

x = 25.


Therefore the total number of boys in the class = 25.

Now,

The total number of girls in the class = 2/5 * x

                                                               = 2/5 * 25

                                                               = 10.


Therefore the total number of girls in the class = 10.
