Given:

In a class of 36 students, the number of boys is 2/3 of the total.

To Find:

No of girls in the class

Solution:

We are given that there is a class of 36 students and among them, the boys are in the ratio 2/3rd, so we can simply find out the number of boys in the classroom by multiplying the total strength by the part of boys, which will be,

Boys=36*\frac{2}{3}\\=24\\

So the number of boys in the classroom is 24, then the number of girls in the classroom will be total strength minus the strength of boys,

Girls=36*24\\=12

Hence, the No of girls is 12.
