Sunetra's rank from above = 8

Sujits's rank = 8 +5

=13

So,

His rank from bottom = 40-13 + 1

=28

Why did I add one ?

Because in a group of 40 people, while substracting from bottom, 0th rank also gets counted

To compensate for that error I added 1 in the rank while counting ranks from the bottom

So,

Sujit's rank from bottom is 28th

Find the position of Aujits from the top:

Position = 8 + 5 = 13th position

Find the number of students below Aujits:

40 - 13 = 27 students

Find the position of Aujits from the bottom:

Since there are 27 students below him

⇒ He is the 28th students from the bottom
