number of students like eating rice=1÷5 * 40= 8 students
number of students like eating chapatis=2÷5*40=16 students
number of students liking both rice and chapatis=40-[8+16]
                                                                            =40-24=16

Answer:

Fraction of students of the class who like eating both rice and chappati is 2/5.

Step-by-step explanation:

Calculation of fraction of students who like eating both rice and chappati

Students who like eating rice only = 1/5

Students who like eating chappati only = 2/5

Given that, the left ones like eating both.

Students who like eating both

= 1 - (Students who like eating rice only + Students who like eating   chappati only)

= 1 - (\frac{1}{5} + \frac{2}{5})

= 1- \frac{3}{5}\\ = \frac{5-3}{5}\\ = \frac{2}{5}

Hence, Fraction of Students who like eating both = 2/5.

(Number of students who like eating both = 2/5 X 40 = 16.)
