The given data in the question are as below

Total number of student in the class=40

Number of girls in the class =15

We have to find a) the percentage of girls

                           b) Number of boys in the class

For (a), The percentage of girls

The percentage of girls =\frac{Number of girls}{Total number of student } \times 100

The percentage of girls=\frac{15}{40} \times 100

Dividing 100 by 40 it get 2.5

\frac{100}{40} =2.5

Now, multiplying 2.5\times 15 it will get 37.5

Percentage of girls=2.5\times 15=37.5%

for(b),Number of boys in the class

Number of boys in the class=Total number of the student  -  Number of girls

Number of boys in the class=40-15

Number of boys in the class=25

Therefore, a) The percentage of girls=37.5 % girls

                  b) Number of boys in the class=25 boys
