given,
no. of girls = 3/5x

also given,
total students = 40
x + 3/5x = 40
5x + 3x = 40 X 5
8x = 40 X 5
x = 5 X 5
x = 25
therefore, no. of boys = 25

According to question,
x+3/5x=40
8x/5=40
8x=200
x=25

No. of boy =25
&No. of girl=3/5×25=15
