in a class of 40 students the number of girls is 3/4 of the the boys find the number of girls in the class​

⇒x+y=40 (equation 1)

But according to problem, 

No. of girls is three fifth of boys,

⇒y=53​(x) (equation 2)

From equation 1 and 2,

x=25y=15

No. of boys in class =25
