In a class of 40 students, the number of girls is 5/6 of the number of boys. Find the number of girls in the class.

let the no.of boys are x

so the no.of

girls will be 3x/5

so x+3x/5=40

or 5x+3x=40*5=200

or 8x=200

or x=200/8=25

so the no of boys = 25 & no of girls=40-25=15
