Step-by-step explanation:

Total percentage of participants=(10+8+4+20)%=42%

The percentage of participants who didn't take part any activity = (100-42)% =58

So the number of students who didn't take part in any activity

=400of58%

=400×58/100

=4×58

=332

So the 332 students do not take part in any activity.

Hope it helps you...

 \\ \\ \large\underline{ \underline{ \sf{ \red{given:} }}} \\ \\

  • Class consists of 400 students.

  • 10% participated in dance program.

  • 8% parricipated in english play.

  • 4% parricipated in hindi play.

  • 20% participated in music program.

 \\ \\ \large\underline{ \underline{ \sf{ \red{to \: find:} }}} \\ \\

  • Number of students who do not participated in any activity.

We have 100% of students.

→ % of students not participated = Total % of student - % of students participated

→ % of students not participated = 100 - (10+8+4+20)

→ % of students not participated = 100-42

→ % of students not participated = 58

Hence , 58% of students did not participated in any of the programs.

We have to find 58% of 400.

 \\ \implies \sf \: \frac{58}{ \cancel{100}} \times \cancel{ {400}} \: \: ^{4} \\ \\ \implies \sf \: 58 \times 4 \\ \\ \implies \sf \: 232 \\ \\

Hence , 232 students didnt participated in any activity.
