In a class of 48 students the number of boys is 3/5 of the number of girls. How many are boys and girls

The number of boys bex

Number of girls=3x/5

Total number of students=48

x+3x/5=48

5x+3x/5=48

8x/5=58

x=48×5/8

x=30 boys.
