c)22

The number of  students who opted for both Math and commerce = 22.

Explanation:

Let A = Number of students opted for Math

B = Number of students opted for Commerce

Given : Total number of students in the class = 50

i.e. n(A or B) = 50

n(A)=35

n(B) =37

The number of  students who opted for both Math and commerce is will be :-

n(A and B) = n(A or B)  - n(A) -n(B)

= 50 - 35-37 =22

Hence, the number of  students who opted for both Math and commerce = 22.

Thus , the correct answer is c)22
