Total number is 50.

2/5 travel by bus.

10 travel by car, ie 10/50 = 1/5 travel by car.

So the fraction of students walk to school = 1 - (2/5+1/5) = 1- 3/5 = 2/5

ie, 2/5 fraction of students walk to school

Total number of students in class = 50

Number of students travel by bus = 2/5 ×50 =20 students

Number of students travel by car = 10

Number of students who comes school by walking = x

ATQ

x+20+10=50

x+30=50

x=50-30

x= 20

So numbers of students who walk to school= 20

Fraction of students who walk to school =

Number of students who walk/Total number of students

=> 20/50

= 2/5

Hence 2/5 fraction of students walk to school
