We know that,

Number of boys + Number of girls = Number of students.

\sf \dfrac{6}{7}x + x = 52

\sf \implies \dfrac{6x + 7x}{7} = 52

\sf \implies \dfrac{13x}{7} = 52

\sf \implies x = \dfrac{7 \times 52}{13} =28

Number of girls = 28.

Number of boys = \sf \dfrac{6}{7} \: of \: 28 = \dfrac{6}{7} \times 28 = 24

Answer:

Let the number of girls be x

Number of boys=6/7 of girls=6/7x

Total students=52

x+6/7x=52

[7x+6x]/7=52

13x/7=52

13x=52*7

x=364/13=28

The number of girls are 28 and the number of boys are 6/7*28=24

Therefore the number of boys are 24.
