number of boys is 6/7 of girls
so
a= (6/7) x b
a = 6b / 7
sub a in equation 1
(6b/7) + b = 52
take LCM
(6b+7b)/7 = 52
13b/7 = 52
13b = 52 x 7
13b = 364
b = (364 / 13)
b = 28
sub in equation 1
a + 28 = 52
a= 52 - 28
a = 24
tatal number of boys 24
