Solution:-

Let consider number of boys be x and number of girls is 4x.

According to the question,

$\: \: \sf \: x + 4x = 55 \\ \\ \: \: \sf \: 5x = 55 \\ \\ \: \: \sf \: x = 11$

Henceforth,the value of x is 11.

Therefore,

• Number of boys = x = 11 boys
• Number of girls = 4x = 4 × 11 = 44 girls
