In a class of 56 student the number of boys are two fifth of girls .Find the number of boys and girls...

Let the number of boys and girls be 2x and 5x respectively(according to given ratio)

2x+5x=56
7x=56
X=56/7
x=8

Number of boys=2x=16
Number of girls=5x=40
