Hey mate!!!!!

Let the number rod girls be x
so number of boys =
 \frac{2}{5}  \times x \\  =  \frac{2x}{5}
now given boys + girls = 56

so this means
 \frac{2x}{5}  + x = 56 \\  \frac{2x}{5}  +  \frac{5x}{5}  = 56 \\  \frac{7x}{5}  = 56 \\ x = 56 \times  \frac{5}{7}  \\ x = 40
number of girls = 40
Number of boys =
 \frac{2x}{5}  \\  =  \frac{2}{5}  \times 40 = 16
boys = 16
girls = 40

Hope it helps dear friend ☺️✌️✌️✌️

Answer:

BOYS = 16

GIRLS = 40

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of girls be x

No.of boys = 2/5 of girls

                   = 2/5 multiplied by x

                   = 2x/5

Given, B+G= 56

So,

2x/5 + x = 56

2x/5 + 5x (because of 5+x)/5 = 56

7x/5 = 56

x = 56 multiplied by 5/7 = 40

So, No. of girls = 40

and no. of boys = 56 - 40 = 16
