Here the total number of students in a class is given to be 60

The ratio of boys to girls is given to be 7:8

So, let the number of boys and girls be 7x and 8x

So, 7x + 8x = 60

              15x = 60

                 x = 60/15

                x = 4

So, number of boys = 7x

                                = 7 × 4

                                 = 28

number of girls = 8x

                         = 8 × 4

                         = 32

Hence, the number of boys and girls will be 28 and 32 respectively
