Let the Number of Boys in the Class be : B

Given : The Number of Girls in the Class are Twice that of Boys

⇒ The Number of Girls in the Class are : 2B

Given : The Total Number of Students in the Class are : 60

⇒ B + 2B = 60

⇒ 3B = 60

⇒ B = 20

⇒ Number of Boys in the Class are : 20

⇒ Number of Girls in the Class are : 40

Given : Laxmi Ranked 27th from the Top

⇒ There are 26 Students ahead of Laxmi

Given : There are 9 Boys ahead of Laxmi

⇒ There are (26 - 9) Girls ahead of Laxmi

⇒ There are 17 Girls ahead of Laxmi and Laxmi is also a Girl

⇒ The Number Girls after Laxmi = (40 - 17 - Laxmi) = 22
