Let the total number of boys be X
then girls are twice of boys
so girls = 2x

Now

2x +X = 60

3x = 60

X = 60/3

X = 20 boys

2x = 40 girls

Now kaml ranked 17 from the top & 9 girls ahead of him
so
boys ahead of Kamal
= 17-9 = 8

boys after Kamal rank = 20-8 = 12 Ans
