✳️ Solution: for the given situation we can assume that the number of correct answers Mohini attempted are x

and incorrect answers are y

to represent the situation we can convert the situation into a linear equation of two unknown

3x - 2y = - 5

if correct answers are given as 7 so we can put x = 7

3(7) - 2y = - 5 \\ \\ 21 - 2y = - 5 \\ \\ - 2y = - 5 - 21 \\ \\ - 2y = - 26 \\ \\ y = \frac{26}{2} \\ \\ y = 13
by this way we had calculated that Mohini attempted 13 wrong answers.
