In a class test 4 marks were awarded for every correct answer, 2 marks are deducted for every
incorrect answer and no marks are given for not attempting question. Ravi scored 20 marks. If he has
got 8 correct answers, how many questions has he attempted incorrectly?

No of correct answers = 8

marks secured = 20

let the number of incorrect answers be X

so the marks deducted = 2× X = 2X

thus,

20-8 = 2X

12 = 2X

X = 12/2

X = 6 answer!!!
