The number of student in the class is 30.

In a class test 90% of the student passed while the rest failed. If the number of failed students was 3.

We have to the number of students in the class.

A/C to question,

90 % students of the class passed while the rest failed in the test.

it means, 100% - 90% = 10% of the class students failed in the test.

But number of failed students = 3

∴ 10% of class students = 3

Let the number of class students be x.

⇒ 10% of x = 3

⇒ 10x/100 = 3

⇒ x/10 = 3

⇒ x = 30

Therefore the number of student in the class is 30.
