(1) Sandeep will get 22 marks

(2) His friend will get -2 marks.

Explanantion:

For correct answer: 4 marks

For incorrect answer: -2 marks

1. Sandeep attempted all questions.

But 9 are correct

So, 16-9 =7 are incorrect.

Total marks he will get: 9 x 4 (for correct answers) + 7 x (-2) (for incorrect answer

= 36 - 14 = 22 marks

2. His friend get 5 correctr answers, so 11 incorrect answers.

Total marks his friend will get: 5 x 4 (for correct answers) + 11 x (-2) (for incorrect answer

= 20 -22 = -2 marks
