In a class test, Madhuri got 36 marks. She had written 12 questions correct. Each correct answer carries 5 marks and wrong answer carries -3 marks. i) How many wrong answers she would have written? ii) What marks will she get if she writes 10 correct answers and 10 wrong answers?​

Total Right answers = 12

Total Marks from right answers = 12×5=60

Marks from right answers - Marks deducted from Wrong answers = Marks Obtained

60-x=36

x=24

Now number of wrong answers = Total marks deducted from wrong answers / Marks deducted per wrong answer

= 24/3

= 8

ii) Marks for Correct Answers = 10×5 = 50

Marks Deducted for wrong answers = 10×3 = 30

Marks Scored = 50-30 = 20
