Let the mark of Amit in mathematics be x
Let the mark of Amit in English be y
x+y=30 y=30–x
If Amit got 2 marks more in Mathematics then x+2
If Amit got marks 3 marks less in English then 30–x –3= 27–x
( x+2)(27–x) =210
27x–x^2–2x+54=210
x^2–25x+156=0
x^2–12x–13x+156=0
x(x-12)–13(x-12)=0
(x-12) (x-13) =0
x=12 or x =13
if he got 12 in mathematics then he got 30-12=18 in English
if he got 13 in mathematics then he got 30-13=17 in English
