 p \: in \: mathematics \: and \: science = 28 \\ let \: mathematics \: number \: be \: x \: and \: science \: b e \: y \\ x + y = 28 \\ x = 28 - y\\ if \: he \: had \: got \: 3 \: marks \: more \: in \: math \: and \: 4 \: marks \: in \: sci \\ (x + 3)(y + 4) = 180 \\ (28 - y + 3)(y + 4) = 180 \\ (31 - y)(y + 4) = 180 \\ 31y + 124 - {y}^{2} - 4y = 0 \\ - {y}^{2} + 27y + 124 = 0 \\ - ( {y}^{2} - 27y - 124) = 0 \\ {y}^{2} - 27y - 124 = 0 \\ {y}^{2} - 31y + 4y - 124 = 0 \\ y(y - 31) + 4(y - 31) = 0 \\ (y + 4)(y - 31) = 0 \\ if \: y - 31 = 0 \\ y = 31 \\ therefore \: marks \: of \: science = 31 \\ and \: mathematics = 3
