Let, the total number of students be, 'x'

The number of girls=60x/100

The number of boys=(x-60x/100)

                                 =(100x-60x)/100

                                 = 40x/100

By condition,

40x/100=15

or, 40x=15*100

or, x =1500/40

or, x= 150/4

or, x=37.5 [As after the decimal number, the number is not less than 5 so,                                                                  it can be rounded by adding 1 with the whole number.]

or, x = 38

So, the total number of students is 38.
