Step-by-step explanation:

boys =x, x/y=4/5

x+10/y=6/5

5x-4y=0

5x+50-6y=0

-2y+50=0

-2y=-50

y=25,y means girls

5x-4*25=0

x=20

Hey Buddy

Here's the Answer

-------------------------------------------------------

=> Let boys be ( x ) and girls ( y )

Given : Ratio of boys and girl is 4 : 5

=> x/y = 4/5

=> 5x = 4y

=> x = 4y/5______( 1 )

Given : If 10 boys added, Ratio becomes 6 : 5

=> ( x + 10 )/y = 6/5

=> 5( x + 10 ) = 6y

=> 5x - 6y + 50 = 0

=> 5x - 6y + 50 = 0

=> 5x - 6y = - 50___________( 2 )

By putting value of x in eq( 2 )

=> 5x - 6y = - 50

=> 5( 4y/5 ) - 6y = - 50

=> 4y - 6y = - 50

=> - 2y = - 50

=> y = 25

Now by finding x by putting value of y in eq ( 1 )

=> x = 4y/5

=> x = 4 × 25/ 5

=> x = 4 × 5

=> x = 20

So, There are 20 boys and 25 girls

Hope it Helps
