Step-by-step explanation:

Number of boys and girls in class is 55/5 =11

Boys = 11×3 = 33

Answer:

let the number of girls in the class be x

then number of boys = 3x/2

TOTAL number of students =55

total number of students - number of girls = number of boys

so

55 - x = 3x/2

110-2x=3x

110= 5x

x= 110/5=22

so number of girls =22

number of boys = (3×22)/2=33

toffee each girl will receive = 66/22=3

toffee each boy will receive =33/2=2
