In a class, the number of boys is more than the number of girls by 12% o the total students. What is the
ratio of number of boys to that of girls?​

Therefore, number of boys = Number of girls + 12% of students in the class

So,

x + (x + 12) = 100

∴ 2x + 12 = 100

∴ 2x = 88

∴ x = 44

Therefore,

number of boys = x + 12

= 56 boys

Therefore,

Number of Boys : Number of girls

= 56 : 44
