Answer:

Ratio form :-

girls=20

boys=15

total=35

a)ratio=girls/boys=20/15=4:3

b)ratio=girls/total=20/35=4:7.

Percentage :-

20 + 15 = 35.

100/35 = 2.857.

Twenty boys X 2.857 = 57.14%.

Fifteen girls X 2.857 = 42.855%.

Given,

Number of boys in a class = 20

Number of girls in a class = 15

To find,

Percentage of the number of boys in the class by the number of students in the class.

Solution,

We can simply solve this mathematical problem by employing the following mathematical strategy.

We can answer the question using simple percentage knowledge.

We know,

Number of boys in the class = 20

Number of girls in the class = 15

Total number of students = 20 + 15 = 35

Now,

The simplest ratio of the number of male students to the number of total pupils  = \frac{20}{35}

           = \frac{4}{7}

To convert the ratio to a percentage, multiply it by 100.

Thus,

Percentage of boys in the class = \frac{4}{7} *100

                                                     = 57.14 percent

Similarly, the percentage of female pupils in the class is equal to 100 minus 57.14 percent, or 42.86 percent.

As a result, the percentage of boys = 57.14 percent.
